The Use of Virtual Reality to Support Science and Mathematics Learning in Secondary Schools
Keywords:

Science and mathematics education at the secondary school level faces challenges in conveying abstract concepts that require high levels of visualization and cognitive understanding. Virtual Reality (VR) is an emerging educational technology that has the potential to enhance learning through immersive and interactive experiences. This study aims to investigate the use of VR in supporting science and mathematics education at the secondary level through a qualitative analysis of relevant literature A qualitative approach with document analysis was employed, reviewing academic journals, conference proceedings, theses, and instructional documents related to VR in education. Data were analyzed descriptively to identify the role of VR in facilitating conceptual understanding and student engagement. The findings indicate that VR can enhance visualization of abstract concepts, increase learning engagement, and enrich students' learning experiences. Therefore, VR has the potential to serve as an effective educational tool for science and mathematics if implemented systematically and sustainably.
