The Effect of Problem-Solving-Based Physics Liveworksheets on Improving High School Students' Critical Thinking Skills
Keywords:
critical thinking skills, liveworksheets, problem-solving, student’s worksheetAbstract
This research is motivated by teachers' tendency to use the lecture method, the suboptimal use of worksheets (LKS), and students' low critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of problem-solving-based physics liveworksheets on improving high school students' critical thinking skills and the improvement of critical thinking skills after implementing problem-solving-based physics liveworksheets in physics learning. The research method used was an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used was a critical thinking skills test in the form of essay questions based on critical thinking skills indicators according to Ennis. The results showed that problem-solving-based physics liveworksheets had a moderate effect on high school students' critical thinking skills. The increase in critical thinking skills after implementing problem-solving-based physics liveworksheets was 39.3 (maximum score of 100), which is included in the good category.
