Focus & Scope
The Journal of Interdisciplinary Community Empowerment (JICE) is dedicated to advancing knowledge and practices that enhance community empowerment and engagement through interdisciplinary research. The journal's primary focus is on research, case studies, and project reports that demonstrate how community-based initiatives can address critical challenges across diverse social, economic, and cultural contexts.
The scope of the journal spans various fields, including but not limited to social sciences, public health, education, environmental sustainability, technology, and social justice. We welcome contributions that explore innovative community empowerment strategies, the role of technology in fostering social change, community health initiatives, and the implementation of sustainable development projects. Research highlighting the intersection of community service and academic disciplines is at the heart of JICE.
We encourage submissions that demonstrate the practical application of community-based research, offering insights that contribute to improving the well-being of marginalized and underserved populations. Additionally, articles on advocacy, education for social change, and the integration of cross-disciplinary approaches to community development are particularly valued.
As a peer-reviewed open-access journal, JICE provides a platform for disseminating evidence-based practices and actionable strategies that contribute to positive community transformation, with an emphasis on inclusivity and collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
